  • concluded "Rape prevention education may be the most crucial element in confronting rape as a society."

American Psychological Association Survey 1998 found that:

  • 10-25% of young women between the ages of 15-24 will be victims of rape or attempted rape.
  • 1 in 10 high school students will experience physical violence from someone they are dating.

National Institute of Justice & The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention Survey 1998 found that:

  • 22% of those surveyed were under 12 when first raped.
  • 32% were 12-17 years old when first raped.
