Body Language: Dealing
With the Potentially VIOLENT Person
For the law enforcement
professional, body language is no longer a luxury but a
necessity. Man is the only animal capable of understanding
and manipulating cues for sinister purposes and the criminal
is becoming expert at it. Without proper training, cops
don't stand a fair chance. The program will examine:

to body language

submissive cues and the way they are interpreted

good and bad

taken a turn for the worse, No longer are arguments resolved
verbally or through "ritualistic combat." The program

- Why is the law enforcement
community particularly at risk? Most importantly, what, if
anything, can be done?

examine how the human body language system has broken down
and will provide specific suggestions as to how not to get
caught in the trap.
- This program is a must for anyone
who deals with criminal elements.
Stress and Combat
Performance
Many questions have been coming up
concerning training and performance. When under stress, why
aren't cops performing as they were trained. This program
will examine:
- How stress will affect the
performance of skills i.e. gross, fine and complex motor
skills.
- Why shooting performance
deteriorates under stress
- What if anything can be done to
reduce performance failure.

weapons than with guns and the average person does not have
a true respect for the lethality of an edged weapon, even a
small blade. This program will combine over 38 years of
martial arts, stick and knife fighting training (Amis de
Mano), seminars and research. The program will examine:
- Different types of edged weapons
and how they can be used
- What constitutes a safe distance
from an edged weapon?
- How should you respond to a rush?
Side stepping vs. stepping back.
- What are the most common knife
grips & who might be using them and why?

biker and prison gangs.

upon?

against knives?
- How and where can weapons be
concealed?
A Guide to Survive a
Massacre or Rampage Shooting
While these occurrences are still quite
rare, you only have to be in one shooting to appreciate this
information. These events have recently occurred in schools,
churches and malls. With the increasing risk of terrorist
attacks in this country, we might see a rise in this scary
activity. Response time is definitely a factor in survival.
(This can be added to School, Healthcare, Corporate and Personal
Sections)
A Guide to Surviving a
Hostage Encounter: It Ain’t Just Luck!
Hostage encounters, whether by terrorists
or EDPs, is not uncommon for the law enforcement profession.
While most times, law enforcement people are on the outside
looking in, what would one do if it were us on the inside? In
addition to our own safety, we might also be responsible for the
safety of other hostages as well. Knowing the dynamics of the
situation, who the hostage takers are, the three times hostage
takers are most dangerous and the emotional stresses placed on
hostages are all important to surviving physically and
emotionally.
